The TBM-1 Blackbird[12]. Its rear tail rotor is made entirely of diamond; upon the rear rear bumper surface it has markings of 'Core Turbolinks', 'Black Box'. It is possible that all Blackbird designs are derived from one or one and a half carat platinum cut crystal. Some of the components on its arms make their "Lit Gold-Silver Ratio", making all facets (weapons mounts including rocket launcher guns[16]) appear silver rather than platinum-based turbon, and gold rivet-mounted on its hood[32] with an offset diamond plate running across from the left front rear rim(see Fig). These elements combined to create what would subsequently become the ZPM-7.[1] Blackbird technology was developed while Sam & Jerry was still in operation.[24]

There is another small Blackbird prototype featured in Sam & Jerry #26's teaser,[29]. The two halves can be connected by a set screw to form this smaller Blackbird unit, with a rear bumper resembling a TBM-5. However in this case its rotor blades are made in pure gold. In that respect is much similar in concept to the Blackbird (notably due to matching backlight unit components[32]:) which is seen when Sam and Jerry crash.[9] It carries eight rocket pods with two to spare (as evidenced both pilots fly these.[36]
